Ce séminaire de niveau MBA a été impulsé par Marie-Rose BARBERO qui a créé et développé le CFA du Groupe ESC Toulouse : « Il s’agit là d’une première au niveau national. J’ai souhaité élargir l’horizon des apprentis, leur donner l’opportunité de découvrir le management à l’américaine. Ce sont 43 apprentis de 2ème et 3ème Année du Programme Grande Ecole de l’ESCT qui bénéficient de ce projet. Le choix de notre partenaire, l’University of Cincinnati College of Business & Administration, s’est imposé comme une évidence compte tenu de l’ancienneté de nos relations : le Service International du GEST organise depuis maintenant dix ans deux séminaires par an pour leurs étudiants en MBA. Cincinnati connaît parfaitement notre attente ».
Les apprentis s’immergeront pendant plus d’une semaine dans la culture d’outre-atlantique travers un programme spécialement élaboré pour eux :
- Visites d’entreprises (Toyota, Cintas, Standard Textile, …)
- Rencontres avec la Chambre Européenne de Commerce et avec des managers expatriés
- Cours et conférences (Economie et Marketing)
- Match de basket inter universitaire
- Visites culturelles

Marie-Rose BARBERO, Head of the Centre de Formation des Apprentis of the Toulouse Business School Group since it was created in 2002, is behind this MBA level seminar: “This is the first project of this type in France. I wanted to open the horizon of our apprentices by giving them the opportunity to discover the American style of management. Forty three apprentices of 2nd and 3rd years are involved in the project. After working for ten years with Cincinnati University College of Business & Administration, it seemed obvious to us they would be the ideal partner today. The International Department has been organizing two seminars a year for their MBA students. Cincinnati is fully aware of our expectations».
The apprentices will explore the cross Atlantic culture from December 16th till December 24th 2007. The CFA of TBS Group and the University of Cincinnati CoB have put together a specific program tailored to their needs including :
- Local companies visits (e.g. Toyota, Cintas, Standard Textile, …)
- Round tables with the European Chamber of Commerce and expatriated managers
- Lectures and conferences (Economics and Marketing)
- Spectators at an inter universities basket ball match
- Cultural visits
